I just cant' seem to control myself...here's a cousin of yesterdays' sweetheart. There's something in those genes.....yep....it's a sweetness gene.
Take it from me, I've done alot of research in this area of science. I'm working on my masters...masters of sweetness. Yes, that is it. I challenge anyone to take THAT away from me:)
Don't tell anyone.....I'm locked at my desk working on pictures-wedding, hockey, awards banquets, family shoots.....and......... HOW IN THE HECK did THAT get there?!!!! Oh my!
How can everything NOT be right in the world, when I look at that sweet face? A big thankyou to his mom and dad for having such beautiful children (his brother warrants a post all his own!). Seeing them all together, as parents and as a married couple, was sincere and sweet; a truly lovely family.
Ok, back at it.....maybe I should just make this my screen saver, but then I'd really never get anything done.
Have a fantastic week everyone.
I just want to let you know that Kathy gave birth early this morning to another miracle baby.....sweet baby Nash was born weighing 6lbs 14 oz.
Kathy is a friend of mine who is an amazing person.....incredible photographer while working as a rodeo secretary at rodeos all over the US......while being this amazing mom to her now three miracle babies. And she is madly in love with her husband who is just a sweetheart by the way.
Go to her site and click onto her blog. Her love story with her husband rodeo rock star, Otey McCloy, will make you laugh, will make you cry...will make you believe in true love.
Her love story about her babies will make you cry and it will make you believe in miracles.
I'm so lucky that my journey into photography has brought me such special people.
Kathy, Otey, Cooper, and Grady....congratulations on the birth of your new addition....Nash.
They really are a beautiful family, in every sense of the word.
PS. Grab a coffee when you go there...you'll be there awhile..trust me:)
I have posted some photos on the Photobooth Blog, exclusive to guests:)
Email me if you need the address and I'll point you in the right direction.
Ps. I am really going to rename it to the LOVEBOOTH, just because there was so much lovin' going on that night.
Thanks to everyone who made it so much fun for me.
Probably a little bit of both:) Still going through all the photobooth shots....so so many!
coming very soon.
meanwhile....two of my favorites, Jian Ghomeshi and Stephen Lewis are on the Q talking about Haiti. So many good points in this conversation. So many reminders how precious life is. Once again Mr.Lewis is talking about engagement, fragility, hope.....oh I could talk about this all day long. Go listen if you can. I love Stephen Lewis.
Oh how I'd love to get him in my Photobooth....him and Jian. I should make that happen shouldn't I ;)
Despite my fantastic matchmaking skills....I use them daily when I'm working with all those beautiful students at the Mount Allison University Bookstore. Ok, I guess I should re word that....I attempt to use them......
Despite my fantastic matchingmaking skills.....I have to make this declaration: I will not set up that gorgeous hunk of a woman in my last post.
For one thing, he/she is already married.
And besides, it would just break alot of hearts. And I'm in the heart connecting business, not the heart breaking business.
In all seriousness , we are so lucky to have these three guys (and two Mount A gals) who dedicate their free time and talent to teach and encourage these young women on the team. Hockey is so much more than a hockey stick, puck and net. It's about learning skills that they will take with them throughout their lives.
I know that as a parent, I am very grateful to have such positive people in my children's lives.
And I have a strong feeling that they (the girls on the team) will never ever forget Coach Victoria:)
all over our highschool's girl's hockey team.
Tonight, the head coach, dressed up as a woman, to come good on a promise he made to the team.
Is that great or what? It's great. For a great team, full of team spirit.
Right down to the captain....she's full of it..full of team spirit, just the way a captain should be.
'Cause smelling like team spirit is SOOOOOOOOO much better than smelling like hockey bags:)
Team spirit is alive and well on this team. And it's great. Just smell it.
