a pound of butter, 5 lemons, some* sugar, flour, baking powder, a cup of buttermilk and an entire morning.
What do you get when you mix that all together? Besides a few extra pounds on the waist?!
Why you get Lemon Flower cupcakes. I combined my new obsession of cupcakes with my favorite lemon cake recipe....lemon cupcakes infused with lemon curd and iced with buttercream icing. Next I want to try Boston Creme Cupcakes....hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Let me just say one thing...my pants seem to be a wee bit tighter.......you didn't expect me to give these away without trying them did you?
It was all for a good cause...a fundraiser for our local Sackville Community Garden. I heard the cupcakes all went as I know the person who bought the last one. Guess that means I can eat the one I saved for her:)
I think I'll save it for tomorrow.
