I had an extra special thanksgiving this year....12 more reasons to be thankful.
It was an international table , represented by Japan, Dubai, Ireland, Red Deer Alberta. Ottawa, and good old Sackville. Imagine the conversation, the stories, the laughter! We had it all.
And then there was the entertainment.....
It was so great. I made them open the crackers and wear the hats. We went around the table and introduced ourselves, said an interesting fact about ourselves and then said something we were thankful for.
Apparently, according to Hannah, there are 7 interesting facts about me. Fortunately, she only got to five!!!!!
There is magic in mud. I've always known it. Like that first smell of mud in the spring; there's a sweetness to it.
Oh yes, there is magic in mud. I came across some photos that reminded me of those magical days.
We had a mud pit in the back and it was the source of many happy days.
Magic. Those days from birth to age 10....there's nothing like them. Oh things are different and things are great at every age...but there's something magical about those muddy days.....something innocent.
Photography is not about the fancy camera or the fast lens or perfect exposure....it's about the magic of the moment. It's about the mud. It's about life and living it.
Sometimes I forget that. And then I find these photographs.
