In case you missed the Queen's Christmas Day message....

here she is...

on my window sill, where she waves to me every day through the brilliance of her solar powered purse.

She makes me feel important.

If you stand a certain way,

the tree is straight.

I swear it was straight when I went to bed last night....

It's the lazy christmas tree this year...no ornaments, just balls. And my felted wool santa. I kind of like him on that crazy tall branch at the top...looks like he's coming in for a landing.

ok that's all for me...back to proofing photos and sneaking in a Christmas movie or two! Oh and driving everyone at work crazy;)

 

My favourite thing about Christmas....

It arrived in the mail last night. It was twice the size when it arrived. I am NOT exaggerating. I am NOT lying. I am NOT kidding. I consumed half of it, by myself, last night. 

True story.

I do not know why christmas fruit cake gets such a bad rap. Can anyone tell me?

If anyone has had a bad experience with it, they need to try Mary Carons'. It's beautiful. It's moist, it's delicious. And dare I say nutritious ;) That was my excuse when I had a piece for breakfast this morning.

It would not be Christmas without it, so a huge thankyou to Mary:)

Unfortunately it has NEVER lasted until Christmas, so if you're thinking you'd like to try a slice? Sorry, it will be long gone by then.

Long gone.

And besides, in keeping with my scrooge-like spirit: this is one thing I don't like to share;)

Okay....

so I was in serious denial. But I swear the tree was full last night. F  U  L  L . But when I woke up this morning?

Whaaaaaaaat?

I am not kidding. Bare as bare could be. Bare as Charlie Brown's head. Bare as my bald tires.

It's the universe saying, "aaahhhhh Kim??? Hello there...Christmas is over. TAKE DOWN THE TREE ALREADY"

So guess what? I"m taking down the tree or , what's left of it. It was sweet though.

Thank Goodness I've got these messages from the universe :) I was hoping to celebrate Easter with this tree.

It's a wonderful life. It really really is.
