Even newlyweds

run out of gas.

And even at $1.27 per litre, they're having fun filling up the tank.

and me too!

Have I mentioned how much I love weddings?

Hope everyone stays safe the next couple of days when the Maritimes braces for lots of rain and a storm surge.

Catching the wedding bouquet

is not as easy as it looks. I've tried in the past, but have always had LOTS of (younger) competition.

Well, I was finally at a wedding where I was thee only single female in line for the bouquet toss (to be honest, the other two singles had already left;)  )

So my chances were pretty good.  I was ready, I was pumped.The bride stood on the stairs, the maid of honor got the camera ready...and ......TOSS......I reached, I jumped, but , but....... I failed. It literally flew over my head. All those mornings at the gym....all for nothing:)

YES,I know, I was the only one there, and I couldn't catch the darn thing!

She gave me one more chance and thankfully, I caught it. Whew! I really don't want that analyzed, but it was good for some laughs!

It was a very special day.

Sometimes it's just one look....

that says it all.

Raindrops keep falling on my head....

and the brides' and the grooms' and all the wedding parties' heads!

After a beautiful evening ceremony, we went out to take the photos. As soon, and I mean as soon, as we got to our location, the sky got dark, and the rains, they came. As in downpour.

But those rains did not dampen the spirits of this crowd...oh no....we had a blast. Lots of laughs which makes my job easy peasy.

One happy couple, plus a great wedding party...add some water and watch it grow into a great evening.

Now that's a recipe for a fun wedding.

Guess what...

I'm doing all weekend long?

For the first person to guess correctly gets a jar of my favorite preserves/jams/jellies in the entire world...from

Uncanny is made right here in Sackville but will ship to Canada and to the US. I love everything about Uncanny...the product is fantastic, the packaging is perfect and the ingredients are top notch. Lindsay who makes the preserves is always trying new things, from sugarless treats to the most natural ingredients she can find.

She is passionate about preserves. It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but so far, I've polished off a jar of Maple, Pear, walnut conserve in record time. Is eating it by the spoonful polite? Who cares. It's DELICIOUS. I can't say enough about Uncanny. And the scones? Amazing. I can't wait to try the apple butter because I love cardamon and I love apples.

So let's get commenting......go go GO...... 

 

 

Blurry.

That's what my summer was. A blur. Blurry.

But a great blurry. Sometimes it helps me if I see the blurry so I can figure out the focus.

Busy busy busy. Lots of weddings. Many photobooths.  A fantastic reunion. LOTS of laughter. An awesome new job. Two kids getting ready for highschool, one in her last year, one in his first. 

 All great things that make the time whiz by....in a blur.

 Thankyou to everyone who is so patiently waiting on photos. I am working night and day to get them all done. Thankyou everyone for such amazing support and encouragement.

It looks like a busy fall which is fantastic.

Next summer weddings are already being booked.

Blurry or not, I wouldn't want it any other way.

Ready, set, GO! 

You want us to WHAT????

Me: Oh just jump onto that soggy haybale in your once-in-a-lifetime beautiful wedding dress. That's all.

Don't ask me how, but I got them to do it. Actually they were up for almost anything I suggested.

There's one in every wedding.

And I'm not talking about the groom.

 

I"m talking about one of the groomsmen who likes to have a little bit of extra fun. There's at least one at every wedding. I didn't go to the party at this wedding, but I'm guessing there were four at this one. The groom was in good company. Good groomsmen. Good friends.
