I spent one hour munching on my favorite pizza from Joey's Restaurant, the Saverino, lying on the couch with two of my favorite animal things and...watching Oprah who had the cast of 'The Sound of Music' as her guests. I looked forward to it all day long.
For me, it's the ultimate love story. The love between Maria and the Captain, between Maria and the children, between Maria and the sound of music and finally between all the fans and the movie. It is a movie that has touched alot of lives.
This is one of my favorite scenes although it's really hard to pin one down.Do you see how Maria looks at the Captain?????......swooooooon. I adore the entire movie. It's brilliant. BRILLIANT. And to think it was made when I was one. Yes, it is that old.
Which brings me to my little contest in honor of this great movie.
Guess my favorite song from this movie and you get a few of my favorite things. Great guesses from everyone but it was Anne who guessed correctly:)
Of course my favorite things wouldn't be complete with a PEZ dispenser, an UMBRA card wallet, some ladybug stickers, my favorite typewriter key pushpins and my favorite stuffed ornament from a talented local artist Tracy MacDonald.
Speaking of talent....there are a few new businesses in town that have become my favorites. I will be letting you know all about them. They are so awesome. And the women behind them are amazing.
A MAZE ing. I love them. I am so excited for them and for the rest of Sackville.
We've had some fantastic days of beautiful weather here in the Maritimes. Warm and sunny with just a hint of crispness...today is a perfect day for me to chop some wood. Anyone want to help;) ?
Thanks to all who donated bottles, cans and other recyclables to the highschool's safe grad fundraiser. I have never seen and smelled so many bottles and cans. What a great group of kids. And a huge thankyou to the Embree family who offered their yard as a drop off depot. They say it takes a village, but in this case, it's a generous family.
Have a wonderful week everyone...I'm back in blogland (hi Gayle:)) and I've missed being here.
